Objectives
In view of the grave risks faced by academics in different regions around the world, the network aims to contribute to the following objectives:
Increase VISIBILITY, AWARENESS AND DISSEMINATION
To report on current attacks and violence in different national and international forums and instances and to disseminate among colleagues current cases of intimidation / harassment in different countries.
Develop JOINT STRATEGIES
To collaborate in the construction of support and solidarity strategies to accompany colleagues suffering intimidation or violence.
DENOUNCE AND PROMOTE DIALOGUE
To support the dissemination of complaints and the creation and accompaniment of spaces for dialogue with different governmental, civil society and academic actors in order to:
a) identify responsibilities
b) promote the advancement of legal and institutional investigations into threats and violent attacks.
c) strengthen the freedom and independence of academic research and university teaching.
