O informe analisa 332 ataques a comunidades de educa\u00e7\u00e3o superior em 65 pa\u00edses e territ\u00f3rios de todo o mundo entre 1 de setembro de 2020 e 31 de agosto de 2021. All\u00ed se analizan, por exemplo, como autoridades estaduais de v\u00e1rios pa\u00edses detuvieron, enjuiced e usam outras coercitivas legais para castigar ensejando a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o, a liberdade de expresi\u00f3n y asociaci\u00f3n de acad\u00e9micxs y estudiantes. Durante o \u00faltimo ano v\u00e1rios gobiernos, inclusive, restringiu a liberdade de movimento de acad\u00eamicos e estudantes a travessias de a\u00e7\u00f5es, pol\u00edticas e pr\u00e1ticas espec\u00edficas que limitam o movimento acad\u00eamico de comunidades de estudantes y. Entretanto, a pandemia tamb\u00e9m trouxe novas amea\u00e7as \u00e0 liberdade acad\u00eamica. Mais not\u00e1veis s\u00e3o as maiores possibilidades de mecanismos de controle e vigil\u00e2ncia para pesquisa e ensino, assim como san\u00e7\u00f5es, restri\u00e7\u00f5es, autocensura e isolamento. O documento enfatiza a import\u00e2ncia de redobrar o compromisso com a liberdade acad\u00eamica, n\u00e3o apenas para o ensino superior, mas para todos. Grupos armados e indiv\u00edduos continuam a perpetrar ataques s\u00e9rios e violentos contra as comunidades de ensino superior. Por sua vez, as autoridades estatais em todo o mundo recorreram a pris\u00f5es, processos e outras medidas legais coercivas para punir e restringir as atividades de pesquisa, ensino, express\u00e3o e associa\u00e7\u00e3o de centenas de acad\u00eamicos e estudantes. Depois que a maioria das universidades mudou para o modo virtual devido \u00e0 pandemia da COVID-19, o padr\u00e3o de ataques mudou e a crise revelou novas vulnerabilidades no ensino universit\u00e1rio. A SAR at\u00e9 relatou um aumento no ass\u00e9dio, bullying e outros ataques on-line.
